“We don’t need video content”
I hear this statement a lot from a range of industries with often diverse target markets. As someone who has grown up making videos, and as someone who realises just how powerful the medium is it almost always surprises me when I hear this. Blocks of text on websites put people off and stock images say nothing about your business however for many businesses this is still the norm for their websites. I am not going to list a load of statistics, I’ll save that for another post, I will however tell you that video is the most effective way of getting your message to your market. Video enables you to show your market what your company is about, your people, your products, the pride you have in your work, no other medium can achieve this in the same way video can.
That said, modern video production companies are still fighting against a now out of date image of video production.
“It is expensive.” It really isn’t, our prices start at only £349, less than a small table at a 1 day business event, and that’s before you’ve forked out for flyers, banners, staff etc.
“It is time consuming” Nope, we pride ourselves on being unintrusive, before, during, and after shoots.
“We have nowhere to put a video” This is the worst one for me, everyone literally has a video player in their pockets nowadays. There are endless places to get your market to engage with your video content, so many in fact I’m going to need bullet points;
- Your website
- Reddit (hugely overlooked this one)
- Embed in your mailouts
- Display at conferences
- Play it in your reception area
- Tv advertising
- You can even project it on your building if you want.
And thats just some. Not every business is going to need to use all of these mediums, you don’t want to be wasting time on platforms that aren’t relevant, but thats where we help out. We know where and how to use your video as effectively as possible, just as we can advise you on what type of video would work best for your business.

We were asked by swing singer Glen Roughead to produce a promotional video at one of his shows at the Live Theatre in Newcastle which both demonstrated both the quiet soulful side of his performances and also the energetic side and his ability to get a venue jumping.
“I have worked with Nimbus Productions now on a number of occasions (and have them booked for future events) they have always delivered exactly what I wanted. Their laid back style has helped me feel at ease when conveying my ideas and their input have taken all my projects to the next level. Always very efficient in getting back to you straight away and always gone that extra mile for me to really make what I’m trying to achieve a fantastic product. I would have no hesitate in recommending them to anyone.”

We were asked by Ladhar Group to create a promotional video showing the new bar and eatery on highbridge street in Newcastle Pleased To Meet You.
The video was to use footage of their exclusive launch event as well as footage of the intimate details of the venue and the selection of drinks available.
This is an excerpt from our video footage of the Eve’s Curse Exhibition and awards ceremony at the Great North Museum; Hancock in Newcastle. Organised by regular clients The Wellcome Trust Centre for Mitochondrial Research the exhibition was “A collection of images from the laboratory and interpretations of key scientific themes by professional and amateur artists from around the region”
“We have been delighted with the work you have done for us both in terms of the patient information day but also the filming of our Eve’s Curse event. The quality of the films is excellent and you work well with all of our staff. We will definitely be using your services again in the future and look forward to working with you on some of our planned projects”

We create this promotional video for airsoft company Infected Survival.
Video has become an integral part of the internet and it’s now gotten to a point where people expect to see video content on websites and social networking pages. A staggering 86% of the population watched video online last year (newmediatrendwatch.com) as broadband speeds increase. It’s easy to see why more companies are embracing online advertising to reach this market.
Making a video successful on the internet nowadays isn’t just about making a video and putting it up on youtube and praying, videos have to stand out and be noticed in order to truly ‘go viral’. The way you integrate your video products as part of your larger online marketing is vital, we can help you build an exciting campaign which will engage your intended audience and get people talking about your company.
Here is an example of the kind of animated video we can produce to advertise businesses.
We completed this video to promote a competition ran by Microsoft, Codeworks, and Sunderland Software City. More info can be found on our Imagine Cup page
We also provide video production services for events, which can be used to advertise future events. We produced this for a hair show earlier this year, more info here
Because pretty much everyone watches video of some description on a daily basis, people know what a rubbish video looks like, everyone is a critic! We use only the latest HD video, sound recording and lighting equipment and work closely with you to provide videos which aren’t only high in visual and audio quality but are also tailored to your audience and innovative enough to get people talking about them, which is the whole point right?
We have loads of ideas for exciting videos, get in touch via our contact page for a chat about how we could work together
