“We don’t need video content”

I hear this statement a lot from a range of industries with often diverse target markets. As someone who has grown up making videos, and as someone who realises just how powerful the medium is it almost always surprises me when I hear this. Blocks of text on websites put people off and stock images say nothing about your business however for many businesses this is still the norm for their websites. I am not going to list a load of statistics, I’ll save that for another post, I will however tell you that video is the most effective way of getting your message to your market. Video enables you to show your market what your company is about, your people, your products, the pride you have in your work, no other medium can achieve this in the same way video can.

That said, modern video production companies are still fighting against a now out of date image of video production.

 

“It is expensive.” It really isn’t, our prices start at only £349, less than a small table at a 1 day business event, and that’s before you’ve forked out for flyers, banners, staff etc.

 

“It is time consuming” Nope, we pride ourselves on being unintrusive, before, during, and after shoots.

 

“We have nowhere to put a video” This is the worst one for me, everyone literally has a video player in their pockets nowadays. There are endless places to get your market to engage with your video content, so many in fact I’m going to need bullet points;

  • Your website
  • Twitter
  • Linkedin
  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • Youtube
  • Vimeo
  • Reddit (hugely overlooked this one)
  • Embed in your mailouts
  • Display at conferences
  • Play it in your reception area
  • Tv advertising
  • You can even project it on your building if you want.

And thats just some. Not every business is going to need to use all of these mediums, you don’t want to be wasting time on platforms that aren’t relevant, but thats where we help out.
